Beverly Pine co-founded Pine & Pine with her law partner (and husband) Norman Pine in 1994 and co-founded Pine Tillett Pine LLP in 2016. Ms. Pine focuses her practice exclusively on civil appellate law, both state and federal. She has received repeated recognition as one of California’s top appellate lawyers, including being named as CAALA (Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles) Appellate Lawyer of the Year in 2012, following five consecutive nominations for the prestigious award. She has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer in the Appellate Law category (2012 to present). Ms. Pine has handled a wide spectrum of civil appeals, including employment, personal injury, entertainment, business disputes, and land use. Prior to forming Pine & Pine, Ms. Pine was primarily a plaintiffs’ antitrust and unfair practices lawyer.
Ms. Pine is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), where she serves as an Associate Editor of The Advocate. In addition, Ms. Pine has written articles for Forum and has appeared as a speaker at CAOC conventions.
Ms. Pine graduated from the Indiana University School of Music in 1970, after attending the Juilliard Preparatory Division during high school. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, cum laude, in 1980, where she served on the Loyola Law Review, was a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board, and a co-recipient of the best appellate brief award in the Roger Traynor Moot Court Competition.
Ms. Pine’s accolades include being a recipient of the prestigious California Employment Lawyers Association, Joe Posner Award 2008 (co-winner with Norman Pine).
